It is pathetic to see that cricket played using tennis balls is not accepted as a form of cricket. Not pertaining to this stupid judgement but most of the cricket organisations themselves think of Tennis Ball Cricket is substantard. With time, we have seen that international cricket has evolved and tennis ball cricket is a part of this evolution where you do not require a prepared pitch and protective equpment is optional.

In San Francisco bay area, the CricBay (http://www.cricbay.com) is a very popular tennis ball cricket league and this form of cricket suites mose to the lifestyle in the Silicon vallue. The CricBay league even has the best website you can find on the net.

It is not far when people recognise tennis ball cricket.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9085002735877347242.post-12258842162533800022008-05-08T06:46:00.000+05:302008-05-08T06:46:00.000+05:302008-05-08T06:46:00.000+05:30ILI,Thank you for the opportunity.ILI,

Thank you for the opportunity.Ottayanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03511419586643916500noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9085002735877347242.post-65280437031854058252008-05-08T00:31:00.000+05:302008-05-08T00:31:00.000+05:302008-05-08T00:31:00.000+05:30I am sure you would like to express yourself here....I am sure you would like to express yourself here.

www.iluvipl.comI LUV IPLhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02790213697469840743noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9085002735877347242.post-58219298569999164472008-05-07T20:40:00.000+05:302008-05-07T20:40:00.000+05:302008-05-07T20:40:00.000+05:30The cork ball comes at a terrific speed and may ge...The cork ball comes at a terrific speed and may get mixed up with ur..Ravindranhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16773797098604812850noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9085002735877347242.post-34105094500382075482008-05-07T18:59:00.000+05:302008-05-07T18:59:00.000+05:302008-05-07T18:59:00.000+05:30Yep NC, red tapism.. and white during the night ga...Yep NC, red tapism.. and white during the night games under street lights :-)Qhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13947332468863567271noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9085002735877347242.post-67719854500432305702008-05-07T18:19:00.000+05:302008-05-07T18:19:00.000+05:302008-05-07T18:19:00.000+05:30NC,Yep they used come off in pieces and if the bal...NC,

Yep they used come off in pieces and if the ball lands on one of those indents it was worse than spitting cobra.

It certainly was devilish. :)Ottayanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03511419586643916500noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9085002735877347242.post-69460300186237943732008-05-07T18:12:00.000+05:302008-05-07T18:12:00.000+05:302008-05-07T18:12:00.000+05:30ottayan, cork balls have the devil in them. weird ...ottayan, cork balls have the devil in them. weird how they disintegrate, like a gnawed apple.

Q -red tapism in tennis ball cricket?Naked Crickethttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04330224127597873431noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9085002735877347242.post-13772340646089818052008-05-07T16:51:00.000+05:302008-05-07T16:51:00.000+05:302008-05-07T16:51:00.000+05:30Q,A new cork ball looks like a cricket ball. Thats where bowlers learnt he art of reverse swing as well. When the tape starts tearing due to the rough streets bowlers can swing the ball... the ball swings in the direction which is heavier, ie on the side where the tape is more.

Its fun.. u c guys tampering, ie taking the tape off.. batsmen check the ball every now and then to see the tape is fine and ask for more tape layers.

Very common practice.Qhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13947332468863567271noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9085002735877347242.post-3840755453428827182008-05-07T11:18:00.000+05:302008-05-07T11:18:00.000+05:302008-05-07T11:18:00.000+05:30Q,The same holds true in Chennai. In order to purchasse it we used to go to the YMCA to get used tennis balls at a discount.

Something close to cricket ball we played in our earlier days was a cork ball and another hard ball we used to play was something called 'Spencer's was spongy but stung when it hit the thigh.Ottayanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03511419586643916500noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9085002735877347242.post-37761970936395339172008-05-07T11:15:00.000+05:302008-05-07T11:15:00.000+05:302008-05-07T11:15:00.000+05:30R,Now, now, lets us not get into who can play with...R,

Now, now, lets us not get into who can play with what balls. :)Ottayanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03511419586643916500noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9085002735877347242.post-47315096565850783742008-05-07T10:39:00.000+05:302008-05-07T10:39:00.000+05:302008-05-07T10:39:00.000+05:30I grew up playing cricket with a tennis ball with ...I grew up playing cricket with a tennis ball with electric tape wrapped around it..
