Cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar has been shortlisted as one among 5 contenders for the best Laureus Sporting Moment 2000-2020 Award. The winner might be chosen after the third and ultimate spherical of voting, which can finish on February 16.

The second, titled ‘Carried On the Shoulders Of A Nation,’ is a reference to the Indian cricket workforce’s 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup triumph.

In his sixth try, Tendulkar lastly tasted success in 2011 because the Indian workforce beat Sri Lanka by six wickets. Carried on the shoulders of the Indian workforce, Tendulkar made a lap of honour, shedding tears of pleasure after the victory was sealed in his dwelling metropolis of Mumbai.

Earlier, Tendulkar was one of many 20 contenders for the award.

The basis has launched the Laureus Sporting Moment 2000-2020 to public vote, which provides followers the chance to decide on one of many winners of the celebrated Laureus World Sports Awards.

The winner might be introduced through the Laureus World Sports Awards Show on February 17 in Berlin.

The 20th anniversary Laureus World Sports Awards will honour the best sporting triumphs of 2019 and can award the best Laureus Sporting Moment of the final 20 years. This marketing campaign shortlists 20 sporting tales from the final 20 years which have left their mark on the world.
